We approach this week's game at Newcomb with some confidence despite last week’s ordinary performance. The Round One clash with Newtown resulted in an eight-point loss but our second half that day was quite dominant, with 17 scoring shots to 8 after the main break. A better first half on Saturday should give us an opportunity to cause an upset in unfamiliar territory. Mitch Day kicked four goals against Colac, while Kane Smith and Jack Hollmer kicked two each. Ben Harris, Daniel Walve and Robert Wood also made contributions. The Twos snatched defeat from the jaws of victory against Colac and face all top five sides in the run home. Aiden Courtney booted five majors and Dion Jewell chipped in with two in the nine-point loss. Kieron McGrath, John Doolan, Stef Callea, Nick Elliott and Luke Colliver were among the best players. The U18s were severely undermanned going into the clash with the undefeated Colac team and suffered a rather large loss. Kane Wiesebrock, Simon Gatt, Tim Lewis, Ben Fitzgerald, Jonathan Conway and Matt Willis all battled hard for four quarters.

Ladies Day is fast approaching and tickets are selling fast. Festivities get underway with brunch at 10.30am on the Sunday 19 July. The highlight of the day will be a performance by comedian Janelle Koenig.
