The Seagulls made 8 changes to the side that went down to Bendigo last weekend and with the inclusions of Nathan Buckley, Paul Licuria and Simon Prestigiacomo the Seagulls were always going to be hard to beat.
Williamstown played a great attacking brand of football and with the midfield of Ben Davies, Nathan Buckley, Paul Licuria, Ben Johnson and Marty Clarke dominating thanks to the great ruck work by Scott Meyer who dominated David Fanning the Towners running brigade supplied the forward line with lots of opportunity to kick a winning score.
The Seagulls forward line looked potent and dangerous with a good mix of players through the forward 50 with big strong power forwards in Ben Reid and Chris Dawes , mid sized marking forward Andrew Williams and small crumbing forwards Patrick Rose and Cameron Lockwood.
The Seagulls defence held strong for entire match despite the loss of Simon Prestigiacomo early on with injury. Nathan Brown, Alan Toovey and Daniel Stanley doing good defensive job's and with lots of run and drive being provided by Liam Picken, Sam Iles, James Beaumont and David Stretton the Seagulls movement from defence to attack was very pleasing for the coaching staff.
Williamstown now head to Tasmania next Saturday afternoon to round out the 2007 Home and Away Season and hopefully wrap up 4th spot and move into the Final Series with some confidence.

The Seagulls Reserves caused a big upset when they defeated top side Port Melbourne by 48 points on Saturday. The win guarantees the Seagulls Reserves will finish 4th on the ladder and will play Finals football.
Midfielders Sharrod Wellingham, Daniel Nicholls and Ryan Crawford were dominant throughout the match due to the performance of Brant Dickson in the ruck.
The Seagulls defence of Conor Dullard, Mick Tanner, Michael Darvell, Matthew Miller and Byron Bonner held up well under pressure and conceded only 8 goals.
The forward line of Brent Macaffer, Brad Dick, Tim Jenkins and Adam Cook worked in well with each other and were a constant threat in the air and on the ground.
Williamstown Reserves now face the 9th placed Casey Scorpions on Sunday at Burbank Oval at 2pm after the TAC Cup match between the Western Jets and Dandenong Stingrays which starts at 11.10am.
