Hello and welcome to the 2018 season.
South Barwon Football and Netball Club sincerely appreciates the generous support of our sponsors, life members, club members and the help of our many volunteers.
We are entering this season with new coaches in both our Netball and Football divisions. We have high hopes and expectations for a very exciting and successful year. In total South Barwon will have nearly 40 teams competing in all levels of both sports.
In Netball we are delighted to announce Ainsley Corrigan and Stacey Dodds are taking on the role of joint coaches. These two ladies have been a huge part of South Barwon netball for many years. The pre-season trials are completed and training has begun. Netball will have 17 junior and 6 senior teams this year.
In Football we welcome to the Club new Coach David Farrell, who arrives with an extensive resume in coaching over many years, at both Senior level and with the Geelong Falcons. David and his team are driven to play their role in leading the senior playing group back into another period of success. We are also pleased to announce our new senior Captain this year is Darcy Hansen. This is a worthy recognition of the dedication, hard work ethic and leadership qualities Darcy has displayed at South Barwon since starting here as a junior.
We hope all our members will continue to support South Barwon in this upcoming 2018 season. If possible, we ask you to get on board and renew your membership early in April, as this helps the club to offset the considerable new season start-up costs.
Please find attached details of the various membership types available this year.
Go Swans!
