Step 1 - Understand the key dates

Registrations close on Friday 2 April 2024

Games start on Saturday 4 May 2024 (the first week of term 2).

The final match will be played on Saturday 7th September with a presentation day the following Saturday 14th September held at Waramanga playing fields

Step 2 - Understand age groups

WMFC fields teams in Capital Football Open (mixed) and Girls competitions for U10 and U11 players.

Players should generally register for the age they are turning on their birthday in 2023, or the year they are in at school to be in a team with their school mates:

Age group Birth year School year
U10 2014 Year 4
U11 2013 Year 5

Players born in 2015 who are in Year 4 this year may register in U10.

Step 3 - Register online

Click the link to register online with PlayFootball - Under 10 / Under 11 Player Registration.

For our female players, please select either the Girls or Opens competition depending on which group you have trialled with, and/or social group. This will help the people organising the teams to place you in the correct team.

Coaches and managers

Note that all coaches and managers for U10 and U11 MiniRoos teams are required to register and have applied for, or hold, a current Working With Vulnerable People card. The coach and manager registration packages are free plus the club reimburses coaches for any Football Australia coaching courses they attend.

Step 4 - Get ready for kick off!

Your child's Coach or Team Manager will provide information about training.

Draws will be available on the Capital Football website nearer to the start of the season.
