Trial Information

Age Groups

The 2012/13 Age Categories will be as per last season with teams in the 13, 14, 15 & 17 Boys and 13, 15 & 17 Girls.

Age determinations will be as follows:

U13 - 2000

U14 - 1999

U15 - 1998 (and 1999 for Girls)

U17 - 1997 & 1996

Eg: Age group is the age that you will be in 2013. So if you are U14 in 2012 then in 2013 you
will be U15's.

Registration Fees this season will be $500 per player if successfully selected to play for the Western Wolves after the trials.

Trials Process

Trials will be conducted over two phases. Phase 1 will be over two weeks where a preliminary squad of 25 players will be selected. Phase 2 is over one week to make a final squad of 16-18 to be selected. Players will be issued a number ID to be with them throughout the trial process. The selection criteria for the trials will be based on the following:
    1. First touch
    2. Passing
    3. 1v1 moves
    4. Decision making
    5. Game/positional sense
    6. Transition - attack & defence
    7. Mobility/Speed

During the trails the following should be noted:
- All players are to wear shinpads. This is compulsory. No player will be allowed to trial unless they are wearing shinpads.

- Players are not to wear their winter club, zone or representative strips at the trials.

Trials Timetable

All trials will be at Springside Recreation Reserve, Lancefield Drive, Caroline Springs. Be there at 6pm to complete your registration forms.

Register to Trial

All participants wishing to trial for the 2012/2013 season are required to complete the TRIALS REGISTRATION FORM. You must fill out this form and bring it to trials to be allocated your registration trial number.
