“Bones was a lionhearted ruckman who started playing the game late and finished at the Tigers when he was well into his forties after 160 very competitive games. Gave his fellow onballers an armchair ride with his astute palming of the footy and aggressive work and bullockng around the packs and was piviital in a couple of premiership victories.”
