Alex McDonald, who was awarded the Under 16 Best & Fairest player for 2008, also polled the highest B & F votes across the age groups to be named the Junior Club Champion. In a close contest, the unassuming McDonald whose consistency and skills were at the forefront throughout the season, polled ahead of Under 14 Best & Fairest player, Angus Hubert. Hubert, who finished a close 4th in the recent AFLBJ Under 14 Division 1 votes, was also awarded the Club's Junior Achiever Shield on the back of his B & F and representataive honours. Nick Halpin won the Under 14 Div 5 B & F, while fellow 100 game medal recipient Ben Menz, and Jayden Bobbermien-Sek shared the B & F award in the Under 12's.
The Kevin Duke Shield, awarded in recognition of a second year Under 16 player who is most likely to achieve in senior football, was presented to Daniel Schmidt by Club Life Member Alister King. 'Dan the Man' also played his 100th game for the Pumas this season. The other junior perpetual trophies were presented to James Norman for Best Clubman, and to junior parents Zoe Bobbermien-Sek (Management & Junior Committee) and Carole Manley (Junior Committee & Under 16 Team Manager), who were awarded the President's Shield and Junior Committee Shield respectively for their outstanding service to junior football throughout the 2008 season.
