State League kick off training. In what turned out to be wet night, 48 players turned up to the first State league training session under new coach Russell Harding.
Russell introduced Craig Starcevich and Matthew Kennedy who then took training in wet and slippery conditions. more -->
50 attend State Associations first session The State Association kicked off the pre season training where 50 players attended in what was tremendous turn out for the first night.
The State Association will some quality new additions this year with Vince Williams and Brendan Foote back from oversees along with Ben Purssell, Daniel Reeves and Steven Jackson returning. more -->

Any U18 player wishing to train prior to Xmas should train with the State Association unless invited to State League training.
Letters for U18 players will be sent out on Friday 13th November which will outline the u18 schedule and include coaching appointments for 2010 more -->

Senior training times pre Xmas Here is the training times for the State Association and State league prior to Xmas
State League- Tuesday /Thursday Nights 6pm beginning on Tuesday 17th November.
State Association-- Monday/ Wednesday Nights 6pm beginning on Monday 16th November.
Both squads will train out of Graham rd.
Letters regarding pre-season training will go out next week to all players from both squads as well as the under 18s who will have their coach announced by the end of next week,

Volunteers required Are you interested in being involved as a volunteer at the Aspley Hornets.
This upcoming season, our club will field 6 senior teams.
2 x U18s--2 x State Association and 2 x State league
All up, over 150 senior players will represent our great club during the 2010 season. As is the case with all sporting clubs, volunteers are a resource that play a critical role over the course of the season.
If you are interested in being involved in one of the many roles that are required at either training or match days, please contact Football Manager, Mark Perkins 0438221559 for more information.

Division 1 Youth Coaches appointed The Youth Football division 1 coaches have been appointed for the 2010 season. All other coaching appointments for Youth football will be finalised in early 2010.

Off Season Assist Program ( JUNIORS) Our yearly pre Xmas Off Season Assist Program will commence on Friday 6th November at 4.30 pm.
This program is designed to assist players from all age groups with specific skills. The program will run each Friday afternoon and run for 7 weeks. There is no cost associated with the program and we encourage parents who are interested in helping out to make themselves available on the first session.

Copeland signs for 2010 Former Lions Premiership player Robbie Copeland has committed to the Hornets for the 2010 season.
This is great news for the new coach Russell Harding, who will no doubt have Copeland playing a major role for next season. more -->
Accomadation for possible recruits With recruiting for the 2010 season in full swing, we will at some stage have the opportunity to recruit players from interstate or even PNG.
Because of this, finding accommodation for players is always difficult so we would love to hear from anyone who has the room available to take on a recruit for either long or short term.

Mousey wins State Assoc Best & Fairest Michael Harris has taken home the State Association B& F award at Friday Nights Vote Count.
Mousey nudged out a fast finishing Joe McElRoy who voted in all but 1 of the last nine games. He missed the last round due to injury and when Mousey grabbed 3 votes in the final game it was enough to win the award ahead of Joe and brett Johnson in 3rd

Well over the weekend the Mighty Hornets elevated thier stature in the football circles to a new level winning all of the 5 Grand Finals, one, the U13 Division 1 by a staggering 21 Goals. more -->

State League boys 2 in a row Obviously the boys gained a lot of confidence from their terrific win over Magpies a few weeks ago as they continued their great form with a comfortable win over Broadbeach. The young Hornets were at their aggressive best and were led by a band of youngsters such as James Nellis, Josh Walker, Brendan Forbes, Reece Toye, Matty Nickerson and Adam Hughes who booted 5 goals, the guys ran over the Cats. more -->
