The Werribee Football Club is back in pre-season mode for the 2013 season under senior coach Scott West. As is the case every year, there have been some changes to the coaching and player personnel.
The Tigers latest signing is former Sydney Swan Jarred Moore. Moore was introduced to the playing group last night (Wednesday) at Avalon Airport Oval.
The former Swan played 68 games between 2005 and 2011after being taken at pick 31 in the 2004 National Draft. He was a member of the Swans leadership group during the 2012 Premiership season.
Moore has also signed with North Melbourne as a Development Coach, helping the Kangaroos young forwards and naturally playing alongside them at Werribee.
“The relationship between the two clubs was part of the attraction for me. The dual role of coaching at the Kangaroos and playing at Werribee, is what I was looking for.”
Werribee Football Operation Manager Stuart Balloch is impressed with the Tigers latest signing “We are delighted to secure Jarred for the season. A past player and leader at the Swans, he brings invaluable qualities to our young group. He will ensure a smooth transition for the new Kangaroo contingent, along with, no doubt filling an important role as a midfielder and small forward. If his nickname “Bulldog” is anything to go by, we are in for an exciting year.”
More new signings and re-signings will be announced in the next week.
