General Manager - Brendan Curry
Brendan Curry joined Williamstown as General Manager in 1995 and is now entering his 13th year in the role. Brendan is now one of the longest serving General Managers in the competition and in 2008 equals the record of Stan Whear who was Secretary from 1952-1964 for Williamstown.


Curry joined Williamstown after forging am administrative career in the Footscray District League (now Western Region Football League), firstly with Wembley Park 1982-1986 as Administrator and Treasurer before joining famous local club Spotswood as Administrator from 1987-1995. In that time Spotswood became the dominant club in the competition appearing in 7 A Grade Grand Finals and winning 4 premierships - 1987, 1990, 1993 and 1995.


Curry joined the revamped Williamstown in October 1995 after being offered the position by then President Greg Swann. Together with a new Board, Williamstown was able to firstly survive and then rebuild the club after effectively being kicked out of the competition in 1995 after not winning a single game in either the Reserves or Seniors and being over $500,000 in debt.


Highlights throughout his period as General Manager include:


1. Obtaining gaming license at Seagulls Nest in Newport.

2. Turning around financial position of club.

3. Forging alignments with AFL clubs Collingwood & Western Bulldogs.

4. Team of the Century Function 2003.

5. 2003 Senior Premiership.

6. Obtaining gaming license at The Club, Caroline Springs.

Marketing/Sponsorship Manager - Nicole Hopkinson

22 years old. Completed VCE at Baimbridge College (Hamilton) in 2004. Completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science/Sports Administration at Victoria University.
Appointed Williamstown Football Club Marketing/Sponsorship Manager in October 2008. Duties include organising and maintaining Club's Sponsorship, marketing football club through the local newspapers, club newsletter etc..., assist in organising and running club events including Presidents Luncheons on match days. Co-ordinate Membership and Merchandise programs. Maintain Club Website.

Williamstown Football Club Board of Directors

The present Board of the Williamstown Football Club was formed in October 1995 and set about resurrecting the Club as a power.



At present the Williamstown Football Club Board consists of the following:


Trevor Monti - Chairman Year joined 1997


Qualifications: Bachelor of Law.

Experience: Barrister with over twenty years experience.

Special Responsibilities: Assists with player welfare, fundraising and legal matters.




 


Graeme Kennedy Year joined 1995

Qualifications: ACA, CPA, FTIA

Experience: Retired Partner at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.

Special Responsibilities: Treasurer and chair of Finance Committee.


 

 


Barry Round Year joined 1995
Experience: Sales representative for a chemical company.

Special Responsibilities: Oversees football operations/public relations.




 

 

Judi Jeremiah Year joined 1998
Experience: Administration. Representative of the Gulls Supporters Group.

Special Responsibilities: Assists with fundraising and public relations.







Graham Bird Year joined 1995
Experience: Secretary of the Australian Meat Industries Employees Union.

Special Responsibilities: Oversees local community issues/liaison with government authorities.







Andrew Howlett Year joined 2006
Experience: Manager Corporate Infrastructure Services Division, Technology Services - Australia Post

Special Responsibilities: Finance Committee and Football Operations

Experience: Business Manager Defence - IT Project

Experience: Regional Manager of the Western Jets Football Club with over 10 years experience in junior football development.
