It is with regret that the Club wishes to inform all members and supporters of the passing of former 1947 Premiership player Charlie Culph.
Charlie played 117 games with the club between 1941- 1951 winning the goal kicking award in 1949 with 47 goals.
Other awards that Charlie won were Most Unselfish 1947 & Services Rendered 1950.
Charlie was in the 100 nominations for the Team of the Century with his player profile reading:
"Although not quite tall enough for the full forward position he possessed a great leap and had sure hands. Times his leads to perfection, an important asset in the throw pass era when the ball moved around with great speed. Battles hard on the ground and would have scored more heavily but for his indifferent kicking style"
Our sincere condolences to the family.
