Club Guidelines

SELECTION GUIDELINES

At Marist, our policy is to develop all members to the best of their ability. Our aim is to foster enjoyment and skill development where juniors learn how to compete. All team members are required to spend a decent amount of time on the court regardless of their playing level.

Playing the less experienced team members with more experienced players is complimentary to all teams. More experienced players naturally take on the role of teaching and encouraging the less experienced players; in turn, the less experienced players strive to develop to a higher level of skill and gain a better knowledge of the game through their fellow Marist members.

1. Depending on numbers each team is allocated between 7,8,9 team members, we try to cap them at 8 players                 each team.

2. Taken into consideration is the height of team members to provide a balance of taller and smaller players.
