Friday bowls.

Today’s game started off with a chill in the air, but as the day unfolded the weather fined up and the second game was played in brilliant sunshine. Don’t put the hats and sunscreen away yet.

Today’s results had a familiar ring to it with some names popping up again and again.

Winners/Winners were Kevin Breen, Frank Baguley and Margaret Newell (visitor from Parkdale)

Winners/Losers were Ian Thomas, Judy Marchant and Denise Chapman (yes again!)

Chocolates went to Harold Ritchie, Clive Usher and Leila Hannah

Flowers were presented to Ruth Ulmer, Bernie Turnbull, Bob Steele, Graham Unwin, Ted Elliot and Bob Davies. Thank you Frank for the flowers.

During the lunch break today, Ian Thomas announced that Robert Steele has resigned as Executive Director of the Club. Ian thanked Robert for his services to the club over the past 3 years and expanded the many and varied achievements during his time in office. A thankyou was also delivered by Men’s President, Bob Hasler. The members wish Robert well and thank him for his services to the club and its members.

Fay Costolloe is now a nursing home patient and while we will miss her friendly smile, dedicated service and raffles, we do wish her a relaxing and enjoyable time in care. Best wishes to the Costolloe family in adjusting to this change.
