Edithvale Bowling Club Saturday Pennant Results Nov 24, 2012

Edithvale Bowling Club had a good day on Saturday, with their top four sides enjoying victory. The firsts bounced back from a loss last week, and defeated Hampton by 20 shots at home. Albert Chung’s team continued their dominance, leading by 12 at the halfway point and winning by 14 shots. John Bryant’s four came from behind and forced a draw with a strong finish. Billy Morton’s team were all square after 14 ends, before pulling away to win by 7 shots. Peter Woodbridge’s crew led well early before losing 8 ends in a row and going down by a shot.

The seconds had a solid 7 shot win at Hampton Park, with Barb Overson’s four dominating their game and Norm Lewis’ crew fighting back from well down. The thirds easily accounted for Beaumaris at home, with the other Overson, Normie, piling on some big numbers in a 22 shot win. The fourths got out of jail at Eastwood Golf, with Joe Musco’s crew tipping the scales Edithvale’s way. The fifths were annihilated at Oakleigh with all four teams well down, while the sixths lost narrowly to Berwick with Kay Cramond’s team just in front.
