Odds & Sods
This week, if we start at what we have missed, we go back to Friday Triples. Clive and I were not there ....but when I heard Frank was the Winner of the Winners I was so sorry not to be there. Congrats to Frank and team! (No photo)
We then go to Saturday and “Winners of the Drinks”, Norm Overson, Bill White, Ray Smith and Judith Thacker came in at plus 22 (!) at home, to Beaumaris. (Well done but again sorry, no photo).
Then later, on Saturday we had our “Christmas Party”, possibly the first in the Southern Hemisphere? It was a great night and you can see that some “enjoyed” (?) it more than others?” I suspect that those "blown out” by this encounter were Gary Thomson (husband of Helen) who portrayed a bass player from “Status Quo”, pictured with Ron Soul (no it's NOT Bill Morton) and John Lyons (husband of Heather), well he looks cute and he can sing.
On Sunday, John Bryant and Bob Darby played Wayne Clarke and John Lyons in the 2nd Semi of the Club Pairs on the slow running “Ken Lee” Green. (The first Semi was pre-played on Thursday on the same green.) That means Bryant/Darby meet Cameron/Clark in the Final scheduled for Sunday 16th December. Be there! Full details of our Ladies Regional C'ships are below.
OK ...as for the SODS, work has started on schedule on the John Clark green’s makeover. Despite pouring rain today, and dust annoyance yesterday, it was all go. Yep work went on today even though Pennant did not!
