Mens Pairs Championship

A new pair has been successfull in the men's Pairs Championship for season 2012/13, with Des James & Henry Blackley being successfull. This is a second title for Henry (having won with Ron McKay previously), however Des won for the first time.

After the completion of the sectional rounds, four pairs remained to fight out for the title.

Semi-finals

Malcolm Wilde & Harold Kemp managed to defeat the father & son combination of Gerard "Rusty" & Josh Barry by a solitary shot.

The other semi had a slighty larger winning margin, with Des James & Henry Blackley prevailing over Graeme Davison & Calvin Pendlebury.

Final

Alas the final proved to be a little one sided with Des & Henry proving to strong, and ran out easy winners.

Notice Board

Many congratulations to the Division 2 - Gold side, on winning their pennant final against Jeparit. One shot was the margin, which indicated a great game of bowls.

Alas the Division 1 side was not able to equal the effort, however it was a great achievment by the players (and selectors) in having all 3 teams compete in the finals. Two grand finalists & one preliminary finalist indicates a very good pennant season.

Congratulations to all who participated throughout the season.
