PANTHERS READY FOR WARR

The Waverley/Oakleigh Panthers have made their intentions clear that they will be a force in the 2013 Victorian Rugby League competition with the announcement of their new head coach Jason Warr.

Jason returns to the club after guiding the Altona Roosters to the 2012 VRL Premiership.

Along with Jason's local experience, he also brings to the table coaching of the highest quality through his involvement with the Victorian Senior State side, Australian Affiliated States Senior team and his work with the Melbourne Storms SG Ball team over the past 3 years.

Jason has high expectations for the upcoming season with the Panthers. He believes that Premiership teams begin with hard work, dedication and most importantly unity.
He looks forward to assisting with the development of Waverley's strong Junior base and ensuring they become future Waverley Senior players.

When Jason was approached to coach the Panthers for 2013 he was excited about the opportunity of bringing Waverley their first Premiership since the early 90's.

Waverley/Oakleigh Panthers Coaching Coordinator, Paul Boyce said 'The Panthers have always had the potential for great success, but have fallen short. I believe in Jason's ability as a coach and feel he is the man to push Waverley to that next step.'
