Guest Speakers Announced
For the first time the Men of League and Group 16 S.R.L. will combine for the event which promises to be an entertaining and enjoyable evening. N.S.W. State President of the Men of League Foundation, Jim Hall will also be in attendance on the Night.
Cliff Watson is widely regarded as one of Great Britain’s greatest ever front rowers. He represented Great Britain on 30 occasions between 1963 and 1970. A St Helen’s legend, Watson played 373 games for the club before accepting an invitation to play with Cronulla, whom he represented on 39 occasions.
The evenings are always entertaining ones with plenty of laughs as well as stories of playing days and memories. Attendees often comment that the evenings are like re-unions and a great way to catch up with past players, coaches, officials and opponents.
The addition of the presentation of the awards for the Group 16 First and Reserve Grade Best and Fairest, Top Scorer and Club Championship awards following what has been the best season the group has experienced for some time, the night promises to be an great celebration of Rugby League on the Far South Coast and Monaro. The Under 18 presentations will be made on Grand Final Day.
Tickets are $50 for a two course meal and can be obtained from Club Sapphire. Club players and officials should contact their club secretary for ticket details. The evening is open to all Men of League members and anyone interested in attending.

The Men of League Foundation was formed in 2002. Its primary aim is to support members of the Rugby League family, ex-players, officials, and supporters through help with Medical Operations, Rehab equipment, Nursing Home equipment, Grants, Counselling, Social Contact through visitation, promotion of Fund raising events.
The Far South Coast Committee meets regularly and its membership is growing rapidly. Membership is a one off payment of $20.00
