Trials Tomorrow
“Looking at the teams on paper, I would be happy with any of them to represent the Far South Coast Monaro Academies so I am sure the selectors will get the right mix on the day.” CRL Development Officer and Head Academy coach Damian Lindeberg commented with great anticipation.
Players from Bombala, Jindabyne, Cooma, down to Batemans Bay and through to Eden will take part in the trials with players vying to gain selection under a strict selection criteria. Playing ability will make up 60%, attitude 20% and their ability to improve under the program making up the remainder. “This program is designed to turn players into the best possible people they can become and this includes off-field traits.” “at the conclusion of the process in February we want people to come away saying that we have unearthed the qualities that ever person aspires to be and they can play some decent footy as well!” Lindeberg added.
The teams are attached for all to see and the day’s program is also available for everyone to see. This year will also see coaches, managers and trainers come in and work with the staff to gain greater knowledge and understanding of their chosen fields.
