Under 18's vs Panthers

The games against the Panther boys are always tough and close encounters.  CYMS got off to the worst possible start when the Panthers kickoff wasn't taken on the full and bounced over the dead ball line.  Panthers then scored in the next set to take and early 4 nil lead.  CYMS lifted and kept Panthers pinned in their own 20 metres for a number of sets.  Cameron Jones muscled his way through a number of defenders to cross the line and CYMS went ahead 6 to 4. The rest of the half was an arm wrestle until Panthers broke through to score right on half time and take the lead 10 points to 4.

Early in the forst half Tom Satterswaite chips and races through to ground the ball under the posts, only to have the try disallowed.  From the restart Panthers score for a 12 point turn around and a lead of 14 to 4.  They score again soon after from a CYMS spilt ball and extend the lead to 20 to 4.  CYMS rise to the challenge and Cameron Jones barges over for his 2nd try of the game.  Terry Brown heralded his return from injury when he split the defence and put Ben Pettit through.  Ben then beat 1000 defenders to score and the score was now CYMS 18 Panthers 20.  Panthers scored the last try of the game to win the match 18 to 24 in another close encounter.

A good effort boys, all the best for this weekends game against Cowra
