Women's History

 

1955 - Presbyterian Womens Club participated in competition between 1955-1963. Matches were played on 5 grounds on Acton Flat, now under Lake Burley Griffin. Women's Hockey competition matches were transferred to new grounds at Southwell Park, Lyneham in 1965. Presbyterian Womens Hockey Club folded in 1967.
 
 
 
1983 - United Womens Club was formed in 1983 and entered 1 team in Womens Competition - C Grade.
 
1984 - United Womens Club entered B3 I and B3 II in competition.
 
1985 - United A1, A Reserve, B1 and B2 entered the competition. United A1 women made the grand final this year defeating ANU 1-0. Coach Errol Bill.
 
1986 - United Women's A1, A3, B1 and B3 teams in competition. Bruce and Kaleen grounds used. Grand Final for A1 team defeated ANU 2-1. Coach Errol Bill.
 
1987 - United Women'  A1, A Reserve, A3 and B2 in competition.
 
1995 - United A1 made Grand Final.   Defeated St Pats 1-1 after extra time. Penalty strokes 5-3.
 
1996 - United A1 made Grand Final.   Defeated St Pats 3-2. Goal scorers - Sue McDonald 2, Kate MacKinnon 1. Coach Craig Apps.
