Cory Glass, Flying Boomerangs trip to South Africa

After being selected in the AFL’s Flying Boomerangs squad late last year, Eastern Ranges U15 player Cory Glass is currently preparing to head overseas on a two week tour of South Africa.

Cory was selected in the squad of 25, which is made up of 14 and 15 year old indigenous players selected from across Australia.

Cory has played his junior football with local club Chirnside Park, before being selected to train with the Eastern Ranges development squads, where he is now a member of the U/16’s.

The squad departs to South Africa tomorrow, where they will train and play exhibition matches against South African teams under AFL indigenous programs coordinator Xavier Clarke, and his brother, Flying Boomerangs coach, Raphael Clarke.

The trip will focus on personal development through leadership programs, character building exercises & personal identity.
