Oakleigh Chargers recorded an emphatic 41 point victory over the Northern Knights on Saturday at VISY Park. The Chargers pulled out to an early 20 point lead and continued to build on the lead throughout the game. Tom Cutler was best on ground with Luke McDonald, Ryan Exon, James Toohey, Dylan Heath and Jack Billings all amongst the best on the day.
The Chargers had a good spread of goal kickers, Jay Kennedy was the leading goal kicker with 3, while Luke McDonald, Patrick Jenkins and Kristian Jaksch each kicked 2 goals.
Coach Justin Wenke was pleased with result and and particularly with the ball movement and skills displayed against a quality opposition. The Chargers face a new challenging period of the season with many players unavailable due to school football commitments. The Chargers next play the Geelong Falcons in Geelong on Saturday.
