Sunbury to play Premier Reserves in 2011 after going down to South Mornington
Sunbury were outplayed by an outstanding South Mornington outfit, in the VWFL Grading match to decide which team would enter the Premier Division and which would enter the Premier Reserves. The girls never said die and put their all into this game right up until the final siren which made all at Club very proud.
Until this game, the Sunbury Lions Women's FC were unbeaten in over 2 seasons, with 2 consecutive Premierships in the North West Division which is a record that may never be beaten. That is an outstanding achievement and all who were involved should be very proud.
