Rollsy Whatever it takes memorial seat

On Saturday after our seniors the Whatever It Takes foundation unveiled a seat in memory of our mate Jake Rolls, it was a great ceremony and we thank all of our supporters for coming down and honouring Jake. The chair looks brilliant and a lot of hard work and love was put into it.

Seniors round 2 wrap up

Knowing we couldn't afford another slow start, we jumped out of the blocks in the seniors to lead at 1/4 time 5.3 to 0.2. The whole team worked tirelessly through the day and kept Mt Lilydale goalless till the mid point of the last quarter. Final scores 17.13.115 to 2.8.20. Jesse Albrecht kicked 9 in a superb outing, with Scott Smith, Stu Cunningham, Nathan Brodie and Michael Heib in the best.

Our first home game got off to a solid start, against the wind we held a 10 point lead at 1/4 time.We opened up the game in the 2nd quarter kicking 7 goals to 0 and even kept Mt Lilydale scoreless in the last quarter when we were down to 17 men due to injuries. final scores were South 16.19.115 to 3.5.23. Rhys continued on his merry way with 6 goals, while Vom, McGreal & Riley were in the best

After all the hard work pre-season, Greeny and the boys were not nervous when we slipped
25 points behind in the first quarter, being able to impressively run out the game after some early nerves to win 23.17.155 to 10.5.65. three first gamers in Jesse Albrecht, Nathan Wheeler and Nathan Brodie had great games, while the old hands Clark, Heib and Price were brilliant.

Come on down and support the team as we take on Mt Lilydale in our first home game
this season. Lots of action on and off the sidelines, so come down and have a look.
We will be unfurling our flag and the Whatever It Takes foundation will be making a
presentation on the day as well.

Preseason Camp

Preseason camp was held down at Merricks and was a huge success. Many thanks go out to all those who voluntereed : Don, Lenny, Pete, Col, Squid, Gayle and Astrid. Huge thanks to the trainers who gave up their weekends, Amanda, Jess and Mel and also our Coach Greeny. A massive thank you has to go out to Ben and Lucas for running such a professional camp. We now look forward to our 2 practice matches against Crib Pont on the 30th March at 6:30pm and against Emmaus St Leos on the 14th April.
