Player Awards: S Edwards, D Paulete, R Ryan, D Cheyne, K Taylor, R Ibbotson
Coaches Comments:
Good effort against a good side, but room for improvement. So next game we will be better, all in all; not bad.

Diggers Rest 0.0-0 Melton 31.14-200
Player Awards: J Tyquin, M Coates, A Miller, B Balfour
Coaches Comments:
After the confusion with the new coaches, the team tried hard against a tough opposition. There were some stretches of good play and with a good week on the training track, will keep improving and play some good footy.

Coaches Comments:
An extremely competitive performance by both sides saw Melton come out on top. After 4 quarters, our boys fought hard, continually taking the ball into the forward 50 unfortunately Melton’s Defence were very tight keeping us to just 3 goals 3 points.
Ryan’s effort in the ruck contest was fantastic keeping us winning the ball all around the ground and Brodie’s run out of the back pocket kept feeding the midfield to allow Corey, Bailey and Zac plenty of opportunity to feed the forward line.
It was great to see Liam getting boot to ball up forward, and I am sure everyone would agree that “Goal of the Day” would have to go to Jimmy with an excellent little Grubber kick.
Congratulations BURRAS on your efforts, it is good to watch all of you playing together as a team, Well Done! Thanks to Tara, Mark, Shelby, Peter, Annette, Shailee, Sean & Ron for all your help on the day.

What if..........
Anyone playing competitive sports, be it football or netball, will know of players who have suffered horrendous injuries. Those injuries may rule you out for the season or longer, but the real financial and personal strain comes away from the football or netball club.
Have you ever wondered what you would do if you were injured and unable to work for a few months or even longer ? Do you know what the blanket insurance provided by the club does and doesn’t cover ? Would you have enough money to meet your loan repayments, rent or day to day living expenses? What about if you became permanently disabled, whether it be sports related or from another unfortunate incident......who would pay for your ongoing medical and rehabilitation expenses?
Most people think it won't happen to them, or that Centrelink will help them. But the maximum Centrelink would pay for a disabled person (not short-term injured!) is $17,400 a year, nowhere near enough to even meet the average mortgage repayment.
No different to car or home insurance, there are options avaliable to cover your family’s most important and valued asset..........you ! And Jacek Klukowski is happy to talk to you about how he can help.
Jacek is a qualified financial planner with J M Mingo & Associates who are supporting the Burra for the first time this year as financial sponsors of our club. However, Jacek’s support doesn’t stop there – he believes he has something to offer that could benefit any of our players, members and supporters.
He can also help you sort out your super and advise you on which super fund is the right one for you. If you have had more than one job in your life, odds are you will have more than one superannuation fund. By consolidating your superannuation you could reduce your fees, structure the investments to perform for you, and maximise your retirement savings.
Maybe you’re hoping to fulfil the great Australian dream of owning a home one day, but are worried that you will never get there? Have a chat with Jacek, and he can help you with a strategy towards saving a deposit for your first home. Whether you're a senior player, or recently come up from the under-18's, the sooner you start, the more options will be available to you.
Jacek will be coming along to our Pink Ribbon Day on Saturday to support the Burra. Feel free to hunt him out if you’d like a chat, or simply to provide him with your details so he can contact you at a more convenient time.
If you would like to make contact with Jacek at any time, he’s happy for you to call him on 9329 3333 or speak to Sue Bromfield (Hannan) anytime during the year either at the ground or on 0407 401 411 and she will put him in touch with you.
Our sponsors are our life line, so let’s support those who support us !
