Diamond Burra News Update
Hi Diamond Burra,
Just an update on our recent Diamond Burra news with further information that's come to hand.
SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE
Please don't forget Saturday Night Live is on this Saturday night in the clubrooms.
Due to the costs of supplies and equipment required for this fantastic night, the entry fee at the door has been revised to $15.00 instead of the $10.00 previously advertised.
With home made video's, the players as well as professional entertainment, finger food and drinks at bar prices, believe me when I say this is a brilliant night and excellent value for money.
TUCKEY'S TALLY
After consulting with "honest Brent" last week, I was able to confirm the total of the Diamond Burra $5 behinds was $145.00. Add the 3 behinds that he kindly kicked for us at Wallan, and the total is now sitting at $160.00 with 3 games to go.
However, he also kicked a massive 6 GOALS last Saturday in a game that was a struggle for the Burra to the very end with early injuries resulting in the team being down to only one on the bench before half time. Well done Tucks !!
VOTE COUNT DAY
As previously advised, Vote Count Day will be held on Sunday 26th August, the day after our last home & away game against Sunbury.
The function will be held at the new and improved Black Horse Hotel (the Bulla Pub) in the bistro, commencing at 12.00pm.
Come along for a social, a drink and/or a meal (they are very nice !) and find out first hand who our Best & Fairest winners are for the season.
DIAMOND BURRA 2013 MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL
Don't forget to complete your Membership renewal form for season 2013. Thank you to those who have already done so.
If you'd like a hard copy of the form to complete, please see myself or Jenny.
This Saturday sees Fitzy returning to the Burra with his Woodend boys, and this is not going to be the same affair as when we last met on their turf earlier this season. With a win against Broadford last week, going down to Sunbury by ONLY 1 POINT the week before, and a win against Rockbank the week before that, Woodend will come to play this week, and no doubt the Burra is the one Fitzy would love to knock over.
Let's get to the ground and lend our voices and support to our players and help them get over the line in what could be an interesting contest !!
