Eagles Representative Coach Nominations
AFL Townsville is calling for nominations this week for a Senior Coach and Staff for the Townsville Invitational Eagles to play against an Army Invitational side as a curtain raiser to the Suns V Kangaroos NAB Cup game on March 2nd 2013. This very auspicious game will carry with it the hopes of future contests between the Army and AFL Townsville as a periodic event as also adding to our ability to conduct more NAB Cup games and other high level events.
The applicants must have Senior Coaching accreditation and experience with the ability to work through a elimination process with the selection panel. As there will be a media announcement on Friday 14th December at TIS, AFL Townsville are wanting this appointment to be conducted and finalized by no later than 5pm Wednesday 13th. The squad selection is not as immediate, probably early January 2013, but a list of 8 players per club would help in this process.
The time lines are not of AFL Townsville’s making but the experienced team of Directors will ensure that the quality of the Coach and Staff is not compromised by the brevity of the application window.
