HELPING OUT THE MASTERS CARNIVAL.

The masters will be calling for the club volunteer's during the carnival which is from Saturday the 6th of October to Saturday the 13th of October. The Lions will get a share of the profits based on support provided. Peter “Foxy” Johnson the President of the Curra Swans has asked if we can help. They have been good to us during the year so we hope to return the favour.

We have 2 critical days being Sunday the 7th and Wednesday the 10th to support the guys at the Curra Swans. The more we can get there will reduce total time required. We need to cover the canteen and bar when it opens. We may also need to assist with score boards and time keeping. Someone will need to ensure change sheds are clean throughout the day and the general ground areas are kept clean as well.

I have no doubt we will be asked to assist the Bulldogs on the Saturday, Friday and Saturday at Tony Ireland Stadium at some stage but let’s see who we can get down to the Swans first up.

It looks like we will need to cover from 900hrs to 1700hrs on the 2 days. It would be great to get enough to say 2 hours each so we would need @ 16 for our part.

Can everyone get back to me and let me know where they stand. My wife Denise is happy to put in a full day on Sunday. I will put in whatever time either side of my game time for example on both days. Andy and Jonny will be assisting when they can too.
