In May 2001, Initial enquiries by Michael Meeng and Garath Sheean were made to the DDJFL out of concerns that there was no pathway for junior players in the area to progress to the ROC Senior Club. Brentwood Park Auskick Committee approached ROCFC to form a junior club for boys and girls that had outgrown their Auskick years.
CONDITIONS;
A sub-committee of the ROCFC be formed immediately comprising of Brentwood Park Auskick, ROC junior parents and any other interested parties,
A name OFFICER KANGAROOS be registered and used in the DDJFL.
A bank account be set up and a budget be set to start the team(s)
Trainers, coaches, team Managers, support staff to be approached.
That these players be recruited from existing ROC JUNIORS, Brentwood Park Auskick, Officer Primary, Cardinia Primary Pakenham Lions Junior Football club.
The "Kangaroos" and ROC executive meet with DDJFL Executives to discuss guidelines.
2001 Officer Kangaroos Junior Football Club was now born.
The Inaugural Annual General Meeting was held on 23rd May 2001 at the Officer Recreation Rooms, Starling Road, Officer

From the early training nights when only four or five players turned up we were able to eventually field two teams in our debut season, an under 10's side and an under 13's side.
In 2002 we again had Under 10's in Division 2 and Under 12's in Division 2.
Mark Van Den Acker achieved League Best & Fairest in Under 10's.
2003 saw the introduction of Under 11's. With three teams now the club's growth was continuing. Under 11's went on to win the Grand Final defeating Narre Warren Black and Daniel Jeavons was awarded Best on Ground for the Grand Final. Mark Van Den Acker was awarded the League Best and Fairest in Under 11's and Ben Ahern achieved the League's Leading Goal Kicker for the Under 11's under the watchful eyes of Coach Tony Ellett "our first premiership Coach".
In 2004 we had four teams representing the Club. Officer Kangaroos was the inaugural winner of the "TXU Community Football Club Achievement Award - the first program of its kind that regards the efforts of the local community football clubs in creating healthy and safe environments that encourage participation from players, volunteers and supporters in their community football club.
In 2005 ~ Under 10's, Under 11's, Under 12's, Under 13's and Under 14's are fielded with support of many volunteers..
In 2006 we added the Under 15's to our growing Club, progressing well to achieve our inceptional target of a feeder team for the ROCFC.
In 2007, sees the introduction of the Under 16's. It is the first time we will have a feeder team for the ROC Seniors next year. The year ahead is filled with great excitement and anticipation of the continued growth of our Club. Under 10s,12s,13s & 15s played Finals and Under 15s were Runner up in Grand Final, a great effort by all Coaches and Teams.
President Michael Meeng has overseen this growth of the Officer Kangaroos since inception and now is relocating to QLD and steps down as president at 2007 AGM for a well earned rest.
2008 saw the introduction of a new Committee who continued the hard work and the "Family Orientated Club Ethos" of those before with teams in all age groups from U10s to U16s.Officer Kangaroos enjoyed some excellent results with U15s making finals and U11s U12s U13s making Grand Finals."Coach" Darren Oates U12 team and "Coach" Gary Tivendale's U13 team bringing home the silverware for only our second time in the history of the club. David Ould's U11 team were Runners up a great effort.
Several under 16s from 2007 Officer Kangaroos have progressed to ROCFC for Under 18s 2008.
2008 Committee put in place provision to accept registrations for under 9s intake for 2009.
2009 Under 9s are introduced and All age groups from Under 9s to Under 16s field a team.
15 players progress from Under 16s 2008 to the ROC Senior club many moving straight into the under 18s side and a Colts side is also established at senior level for the first time in ROC history.
