The Ashburton United Junior Football Club is committed to an environment which promotes racial and religious tolerance by prohibiting certain conduct and providing a means of redress for victims of racial and religious vilification and/or racial discrimination.

Smoke Free Policy
The Ashburton United Junior Football Club recognised that passive smoking (inhaling second-hand smoke) is hazardous to health and that non-smokers should be protected from tobacco smoke. Passive smoking can lead to other serious illnesses such as bronchitis, lung cancer, cardiovascular disease, and chest illnesses in children. Accordingly the following policy has been developed by The Ashburton United Junior Football Club to help protect people’s health.

Risks are inherent in all aspects of Australian Rules Football and the Ashburton United Junior Football Club acknowledges the role of risk management as critical to the safe and controlled provision of the sport to players, officials and spectators.

Age Group Policy
It is the mission of the AUJFC to provide all registered players a safe and caring environment so they can gain maximum enjoyment and development whilst participating in both routine training and game day matches.
To ensure AUJFC achieves this mission certain club policies have been implemented with regards the placement of players within their correct age grouping and the selection of players within a team.
