After several injuries in the game against Chelsea Heights at home last week, the St Pauls Doggies have the opportunity to show the strength of the clubs depth, with several players making their return and two young pups making their debut for the senior side this weekend against Dingley.
18 year old Bob Carracher, younger brother of Ben, has been playing some great footy in the Colts which has been rewarded with a call up. Bob is a hard in and under player who never shy’s away from a contest and loves a challenge.
Bobby is a great example of a player who has progressed through the junior system at the club and relished the opportunity to join the senior ranks.
Big Ben “Clock” Pian is also set to make his debut in the firsts tommorow. “Clock” Joined the club last season and has been a handy addition in the ruck. Not having much football experience, Ben learned his trade trade and adjusted well to the role, becoming one of the most important reserves players in 2011.
After doing pre season with the Sandringham Zebras in the VFL, narrowly missing out on a spot on their list, Ben kicked off this season with a bang finding himself in the reserves best on several occasions and after another great game on the weekend against Chelsea Heights, Clock finally gets his chance to showcase his skills in the seniors.
Best of luck to both players!
A reminder that the Colts kick off at ,the reserves at, and the seniors so get along and support the Red, Blue & White.
GO DOGGIES!
