The St Marys Senior Football Club is pleased to announce the following coaching appointments for season 2012.
Senior Coach - Brenton Kinnear.
Brenton comes to the club with an excellent pedigree and has played football at VFL level with Carlton, before finishing his playing career at the Templestowe Football Club. Brenton then took on an assistant coaching role to Wayne Harmes at Lower Plenty and held that role for 2 seasons.
Most recently Brenton has been undertaking representative coaching duties with the NFL and is currently embarking on his AFL Level 2 coaching course. We look forward to Brenton taking charge of the senior squad in the next few weeks.
Reserves Coach - Nick Perry.
Nick Perry is a first time coach, he has played many years of senior football and brings a wealth of playing experience. Nick has played the last 2 seasons with us, he is another former
St Marys Junior player who started his career with our junior club as an Under 12 player after moving from interstate. We wish Nick well for the upcoming season.
U19 Coach - Paul Millett.
Paul Millet has coached for a number of years at the St Marys Greensborough Junior football club where he has attained life membership after many years of great service. We look forward to Paul starting in this role to continue the development of these young men.
In making this announcement we also want to recognise the outgoing coaches. Firstly Mr Kym Irvine, another junior club life member, who took the reins as our inaugural senior coach for seasons 2010 / 2011 and developed the senior squads from bottom of the ladder to finals competitors, this is an outstanding effort and will always be appreciated.
Secondly to Phillip Cattenazzi who in addition to his executive committee duties since 2009, happily agreed to take on the reserves coaching role in 2010 and also did a stellar job and finally thank you to Adrian Shields who took on the challenging role as U19 coach. We wish you all well in your future pursuits.
