Centennial Parklands - 125 years old and looking great

Centennial Parklands Community Report 2011-12 and 21000 sqm of Turf

07-11-2012

Centennial Parklands has just put together a snap shot of their last 12 months. Have a look - it's a great reminder of why we love to play there.

Our home ground at Moore Park Oval is just part of the 360 hectares that make up the Centennial Parklands. There is a lot happening there. As Centennial Parklands puts it:

"Centennial Parklands is a vibrant part of Sydney – a place to go to get away from the pressures of the city, to meet family and friends, to play sport, to relax, to be entertained, to play. Every year our role becomes more critical in providing crucial space and opportunity for our growing population."

Yes, it's crucial space and we are fortunate to play our junior AFL there.

As stakeholders of the Parklands, here is Centennial Parklands' Community Report for 2011-12 - so just click, sit back and enjoy. Centennial Parklands hopes it inspires you to visit the Parklands and support their work.  (We hope it inspires everyone to just go kick the footy.)

If you enjoy it, please share it with family, friends or colleagues and help spread the word about this great place.

Comment Guidelines: The SportingPulse Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.

So once again, let's make it all happen in Tigerland. Don't be a stranger and just jump in there and help out ... A reminder will go out to those rostered on for the Club's BBQ fundraiser - now located at the north end of Moore Park Oval (closer to our storage at the UTS Sydney Boys High gymnasium).
