The GSJ Western Region will be holding open selection trials for the 2013 GSJ AFL representative season.

Trials will be held for the following age groups:-

U13, U14 & U16 Representative teams
U12 & U15 Development Squads

Below is the year of birth to be eligible for each age group
U12 – 2001
U13 – 2000
U14 – 1999
U15 – 1998
U16 - 1997

The AFL/GSJ are trying to recruit junior players (U13's to U16's)& parents interested in umpiring.

• FREE coaching & mentoring
• Earn $15-$60 per game, each weekend April to September
• Need to be turning 13 years of age in 2013 or older

An important reminder that even though Cook Park has officially been handed over to us to use for the AFL season please refrain from training on the Cricket Pitch & Square.

As part of the agreement for using the oval, Cricket Pitch & Square can only be used on match days in order to limit wear & tear during the football season.

We have old polo shirts & limited club jackets we are offering as a pre season sale at training from this week.

Polo Shirts are $5 & jackets $15.

Club training for all teams is underway in 2013.

Training nights for each age division is as follows;
Under 16’s – Currently Tuesday & Thursday 6.30pm to 7.30pm (subject to change)
Under 14’s Tuesday and Thursday 6.30pm to 8.00pm
Under 12’s Tuesday and Thursday 5.30pm to 6.30pm
U10's Thursday 5:30 to 6:30pm.

There is no training for Auskick.

We wish all three players the best in their endeavours with the Giants.

We had two teams play in the grand finals. The under 14s had a win and are now premiers. The under 16s were not so lucky, however they still did our club proud.

We also ran the canteen on the day at BOP and wish to thank those who made it such a success
