AUSKICK REPORT - 3/6/06 Today we were exposed to an extremely cold and windy day for Auskick, with quite a few blankets and jumper's brought along. Steve from the Quaker's Hill Bomber's Auskick welcomed us, and we had both squad's greet each other, and our journey had coincided with the Crows playing the Bomber's in the AFL match on the Friday night beforehand. The kid's were put through a vigorous warm up courtesy of a helper from the Bomber's. We then split into 2 groups to play modified footy games. I assisted in the game for the bigger kids & Steve helped control the younger one's... more -->

Auskick - Saturday 6th May 2006 Have you ever tried to kick & catch a balloon between you & another person, or roll a ball with your elbows, head and nose around a set of cones ? Our youngstars were doing Rolling & Stopping in their session and the older group were Kicking, (an essential component in AFL)... more -->
AUSKICK REPORT - Saturday 29th April 2006 A litte rain was not not enough to deter the Auskick squad from completing our session today (Thank's to Richard O'Keefe for the umbrella's). For warm up, one of the activities we done was the kids all had to held hands and, run in a straight line together without falling over or leaving someone behind. This proved to be an interesting exercise in Team Work and some of the kids soon realised the value in helping out each other, and how what we do relates to what happens in a "big game."... more -->
Half Time Telstra
"Thank you for such a great night tonight at Telstra Stadium! From the
Greater Western Juniors we had close to 108 kids (give or take the couple
that dropped out in the last 24 hours!) and 6 fields to usher them on to and
it went without a hitch.

From your arrival through to initial seating and on to readiness in the
change rooms through to the final return to seats, I want to thank you for
helping the night run so smoothly.

It showed that we are a great region with terrific coordinators, friendly
families and heaps of terrific kids!"... more -->
Auskick - April 22 Even though it is still in the school holidays, we had Auskick on today for those that could attend. About 3/4 of the squad came down. The group's with the bigger kids had practice in Marking and the group's of smaller kids were concentrating on Kicking. We completed the morning with a game of football, (Black bibs vs Red bibs), and put our skills into practice.During the game it was pleasing to see the ball being passed and kicked to team mates. The seasoned Auskicker's stood out with their experience in kicking, however the smaller and newer kids were equally involved and their participation showed how keen they were. All kid's were rotated through the different zones on the field and a hand shake at the end of the game ensured we are all good sports... more -->
