UNDER 10 The St Clair Crows Under 10's headed off to the Grand Final at Bensons Lane against The Emu Plains/Glenmore Park Lions hoping to keep their unbeaten run intact by recording their 15th successive victory for the year. The boys were blissfully unaware that success in the season decider would see them create club history by becoming the first Crows team to win the Under 10's flag. This had been the only flag to elude St Clair in the clubs 8 year history. Whilst any unbeaten team might appear to be the favourite on paper anybody who had seen the 3 previous encounters between the teams realised that this match could go either way as the Lions are a tall, strong and skilful side outfit who were extremely determined to reverse their previous losses to the Crows. The teams arrived under grey and windy conditions to discover a ground that was damp and greasy after the significant overnight rain and intermittent scudding showers that had swept across the ground up until the start of the game.

U10's Rd #07 Round 7 saw the Crows under 10's return to Cook Park to take on the Hills Lions. The Crows went into te game very wary of the Lions who had posted their first victory of the season the week before with a hard fought victory over Hawkesbury.

U10's Rd #06 Round 6 of the 2007 competition saw the top of the table clash between the Crows and the Emu Plains/Glenmore Park Lions at Dukes Oval. Both teams had been in outstanding form this year and went into the match undefeated. What promised to be a great contest on paper certainly met and in many respects exceeded expectations.

U10's Rd #05 The Crows headed into their round 5 clash with Blue Mountains Blue anticipating a very tough match after both teams had posted some good results in the early rounds. The match certainly went very much to script in the first quarter with very little separating the 2 sides. The ball fluctuated between both forward lines with no side able to dominate and the Crows backline did an excellent job in repelling the Kangaroos attacking raids. The Crows were running into a reasonably strong breeze and didn't show their characteristic team work in the first quarter. This combined with both the tendency to stand back a little when the ball was on the ground and some superb last line defence by the Blue Mountains fullback saw the Crows only goal for the term come from a free kick to Jackson just outside the goal square. The score at quarter time was the crows 1-0-6 Blue Mountains Blue 0.

U10's Rd #04 The Crows arrived at Cook Park for their second home game looking to make it four straight wins for the season in their clash against the Blue Mountains White side. Missing 2 of our regular plays due to illness meant that we were able to call on the services of Oscar from Auskick to give him his first taste of `real'footy.

U10's Rd #03 Round 3 of the 2007 season saw the Crows under 10's have their first home game of the season against their conquerors in last years Grand final, the Penrith Swans. The crows got off to an uncharacteristically slow beginning with a case of the fumbles early in the first quarter. This was no doubt partly due to the heavy dew that covered Cook Park but also a result of the good early pressure applied by Penrith. Mid way though the first quarter however the crows' forwards clicked into gear. Nat goaled after some good roving and Isaac landed a good running goal to take the early advantage. Hugh also chipped in after showing no signs of nerves as he potted a set shot from a slight angle to kick his first goal in AFL in only his third game. The Crows quarter time lead of 3-2-20 to nil was very handy given their slower than normal start.

U10's Rd #02 Wet greasy conditions and drizzling rain greeted the Crows as they travelled to Bensons Lane for their round 2 encounter with Hawkesbury. A tough game was anticipated after both sides' recorded big victories in the season's first match. The game certainly lived up to expectations in the first quarter as both sides staged a dour struggle in the difficult conditions. Despite the even nature of the contest the Crows went to the quarter time break with a 1-3-9 to nil lead. This was due to the excellent defence of our backs who repelled numerous Saints attacking raids and the trusty boot of Jackson who scored the terms only goal.

U10's Rd #01 After one trial game and with more than a third of the team playing their first game of Under 10's I really did not know what to expect when the Crows took to the field for the opening round clash with Quakers Hill at Wrights Reserve.

It was only a matter of moments before any concerns were allayed as the Crows took control of the match from the opening bounce. Our centres completely dominated the opening quarter with the backs not actually touching the ball. This provided plenty of opportunities for our forwards who gratefully accepted the flood of possession they received. Nat revelled in his new role up forward taking some good marks and booting 2 goals while Isaac chipped in with one after taking a good mark in the square. At the quarter time break the Crows led 3-3-21 to 0.
