Pivot Profile

PivotCity was formed in 1950 and is a club that has achieved great success from humble beginnings.

Pivot helped form the amateur competition in Geelong now called Basketball Geelong and playing out of The Arena. Pivot strives to create an environment that allows players to enjoy and thrive at basketball

We are a family based club that has clear objectives and a structure called Pivot Way that together with our experienced and qualified coaches helps our players achieve their goals whether it be at the local competition, state or national level. We aim to have teams in all A grade sections of the domestic competition and support player development in B and C grade levels.

Our club is highly successful at domestic and state levels having won many domestic and state titles. Players from our club have not only represented Pivot City but also GEELONG, VICTORIA and even AUSTRALIA up to Olympic standard with Michelle Chandler, Neil Mottram and Robbie Johnstone making National teams that participated at the Olympics. Many of the past and current SEABL Supercats are Pivot players, including Jamie Medved & past champions such as Jason Reardon, Jarrod Leonard , Dan George and Nick Van der Klooster.

Our number one ticket holder is Andrew Gaze and we run clinics in conjunction with Andrew as well as have Andrew participate in other functions.

We train at Geelong College and Sacred Heart College and have plans to one day have our own stadium. A `Getting Started with Pivot' kit is available by download below.
