Great day at Rogers park as the Porpoise met the Piranhas in the second round
After a slow start in which Piranhas almost scored first with two very close shots one bouncing off the upright the second narrowly missing the goal. It was left to Jamie, after relentless attack to open the scoring.
Jamie so often in a defensive role took the first half by the scruff of the neck and injected some purpose to the porpoise attack by belting not one but 2 goals into the back of the net.
The second half saw a rejuvenated Porpoise side dominating possession.
Charlotte played upfield and made some great runs and put some heat on the goal.
Holly Griffin was in goal and was called on to make a couple of saves.
Brooke battled a knee injured and scored a great goal.
Holly gardener made some great breaks and put plenty of pressure on goal
Nikolai was fabulous in the mid field tackling anything in sight and thumping the ball downfield for others to run onto.
Nick was always in support working hard in the mid field tying up possession.
But the second half was claimed by Grayson. Running with real purpose beating players at will slicing through the midfield to score 4 fabulous goals and get player of the day.
Great game by all.
See you all Wednesday at Rogers park 4.15 for practise weather permitting.
