The Coolum Beach Breakers were at Glasshouse on the weekend and it was clear the Coolum boys had come to play from the first bounce.
The midfield started strong with great work in the ruck from Jack Aubrey and with Thomas Maher, Liam Moyle, Blake Lhokta, Callum Hewitt and Luke McKinney running hard to give the Breakers first use of the ball on most occasions. The Breakers forward line were the beneficiaries of the great work and quick ball movement from the middle to give Connach Bretherton, Luke Ainsworth, Sam Brackley and Luke McKinney scoring opportunities.
Coolum’s backline held strong with constant pressure on Glasshouse the whole game. They worked together well as a unit but were lead by Jake Dix (Best on Ground) and supported well by Jacob Geale, Shannon John-Hore, Mackenzie Quinlivan and Trent Thomas. This was a great team effort after a harrowing one point loss last week.
The whole team worked hard at each contest and never gave up. Go Breakers!
