Dragons Basketball Club caters for players primarily from the Northern suburbs of Brisbane and Pine Rivers areas including Mitchelton, Arana Hills, Ferny Grove, Ferny Hills, Samford & Albany Creek.  Our membership extends to other areas of Brisbane, Brisbane Northside and the Moreton Bay Regional Council. We are one of a number of clubs which play in the Brisbane Basketball Inc. (BBI) competition out of the Vince Hickey Basketball Stadium in Dixon St, Auchenflower.

 

We field boys and girls teams across all age groups and at various skill levels in the BBI competition. In seniors, we field teams at the GBL (Greater Brisbane League) level.  Our Club has produced numerous junior representative players with some of our club juniors progressing through our senior program to play United States College basketball and in the NBL, SBL and QBL competitions.  After officiating in various QABL, ABA and WNBL games, a former junior player is now on the refereeing panel of the NBL.

Players of all standards are catered for at Dragons Basketball Club.

The management and coaching of our Club is conducted by volunteers who give freely of their time to foster the sport of basketball.
