State MP Julie Attwood becomes the Foundation Patron of the West Brisbane Falcons Basketball Club

Local MP Julie Attwood attends her first event as the newly appointed Foundation Patron of the West Brisbane Falcons Basketball Club.

Julie visited the Club at its Annual Sign On Day where she was able to see about 200 boys and girls aged from 6 through to 17 year olds, sign on to play basketball with the Club during 2007.

Club President Mal McGreachan presented Ms Attwood with a West Brisbane Falcons Club Polo and a commemorative plaque acknowledging her role.  Mal said the Club was happy to have such a prominent member of the local community support the Club as we strive to promote the game of basketball throughout the Western and Centenary suburbs.  I hope that Julie will be able to assist us in our endeavours through the provision timely information and advice regarding all aspects of running a successful sporting club.
