Under 15 Squad
The squad of under15 lads started with a gruelling and challenging pre season with many hot Sunday mornings around Beena arena with skill sessions during the week. For the 2nd consecutive year the squad was put through physical testing and all data was logged for their referencing come the start of the season. It was exciting to see that all members of the squad had improved on their run times, sprint times, sit up and push up count.
The lads trained again as one squad which was positive and reinforcing that unity and togetherness gets good sound results.
It was great to see the fantastic input of all the coaching group at training especially with specialise training and one on one session that were delivered.
It was also great to see newer members enjoying themselves and participating openly and the high standard of input that was displayed by all members of the squad.
I look forward to seeing all the members of the squad and hopefully some new faces as well in 2013.
Under 15 Maroons
The Maroons started the season well being competitive in their opening games and the lads had a new game plan to understand and implement, which meant they were tested and challenged in a number of games during the year against strong opposition. It was pleasing to see the lads’ not self destruct when they were challenged.
There was a number of games that we implemented our game plan well and applied ourselves over the 4 quarters which is what is required to succeed in Under 16s football.
The team was well lead by their leadership group and all members participated and gave their 110 % for each other and their supporters.
I hope enjoyment was had by all during the year and it was fantastic to see new members to the club.
I look forward to seeing all 2012 members of Under 15’s back next season for another crack at this fine game.
Bring on 2013!
