State Championships
East Perth is running open sessions for any Girls interested in Development Sessions and/or have an interest in playing at the upcoming BWA State Championships at WA Basketball Centre.
Aaron Berryman, new Head Coach for the Women's SBL Lady Eagles will be there. Aaron is also involved in the School Sports WA State Teams for primary school aged teams.
The sessions will be run by last years Under 12 and 13 WABL Coaches, Darren Nicholson and Anthony Sparks. It is proposed to hold them each week for the next 6 weeks with an opportunity for those interested to play at the BWA State Championships during December. We hope to have some Guest Coaches over the next six weeks to help out at various times.
First Training Session is this Sunday 28th October at Morley Rec 4pm – 5:30pm
Details for following sessions will be sent out by email next week.
Please bring a water bottle, reversible singlet (if you have one), mouth guard preferred, sports towel , etc....
Details of the relevant state champs are as follows (all played at WA Basketball Centre):
• December 1/2 –Under 11 & Under 13 Boys/Girls
• December 8/9 –Under 12 & Under 15 Boys/Girls
• December 15/16 – Under 14, Under 17 & Under 19 Boys/Girls
This is an open session, so feel free to invite any girls who are interested in basketball development.
