MERRIGUM FOOTBALL/NETBALL CLUB SEASON 2013

Welcome players, members and supporters to season 2013.

After a fantastic finish to season 2012 from both the seniors and reserves, we look forward to another exciting year ahead. We must first begin by congratulating the 2012 B Grade Premiers, coached by Danni Barbagallo and Laura Gordon a great effort which we look forward to defending in the coming season.

Leading the senior football, is again head coach Christian Barnett ably assisted by Josh Stammers, reserves will this year be led by Josh Pell assisted by last years coach Brett McCartney and the 3rds coach Alan Lowe who will be assisted by Shane McLennan. This year we are looking to build on the efforts of 2012, with our sights heavily set on finals action.

On the netball side of things, all netball teams have been selected with training in full swing under the watchful eyes of new A grade coaches Graeme and Nathan Pell. New B grade coach is returning player Alana Cope, new to the club C grade coach Kath Dawson, Under 17's coach Rhonda Lowe and Under 15's Debbie McArdle.

Off the field it is important that all of our supporters and players get their membership packages sorted with payment etc. to start off the year on a positive note.

This weekend we begin our season with a practice match against Rumbalara at Rumbalara. Following this match we have two more practice matches against Dookie and Girgarre, before kicking off the season with a night match in Kyabram against Violet Town on the 6th of April.

The social club is in full swing with the social calendar for the year near complete, with the Ball date set for May the 18th. If you or anybody else is interested in being involved with the social Committee get in touch with any of the social committee Kell Connally, Britt Pell, Boxhead, Amber Christou, Eb D'Augello or President Greg Pell.
