Preliminary Final - Netball Notes

U-13's:

The day was very wet and we gave it our all but it just wasn't our day and unfortunately we didn't come away with a win. Girls it was a very pleasing season and both of us coaches are very proud! Let’s focus on the positives and bring them into next year. Come back ready to go in 2013!

Good luck to the 4ths who are in the grand final! Carn Creek!!

U-17's:

Well girls, what can I say?  You gave it your all and in the end the weather and the height of I.K got us.   You have been and awesome group of girls to coach, you have a love of the game with an endeavour to improve through hard work, enthusiasm and dedication. It's a shame to go out in the Preliminary Final after such a great year.  I wish both Korumburra and I.K the best for the Grand Final.  Thank you to my girls and their parents for a great year.

 A-Grade:

Today we played our Arch rivals from over the hill, it was a cold, wet, windy day. From the first whistle everyone put in and played a good game of netball. Unfortunately as soon as we tried to put up for a goal the wind was pushing it out. Never the less the goalers worked hard, they continued to fight and were getting rebounds. The midcourt didn't stop moving, and offered back up all throughout the game, short sharp passes were the key. The defenders had a hard game, the Foster goalers were not giving up without a fight, making Meeks, Marsh and Hannah work hard, but the defenders stepped up and got intercepts and rebounds. It was a hard day all round but well done on representing the club and taking the team this far. Thanks to Wendy Sperling for a great year of coaching. Also a big thankyou to all the committee members and everyone that supported and cheered the girls on! Let’s look forward to 2013 and good luck to the Fishy 4ths. Carn Creek !!
