Season 2009 saw our Senior and Reserve football teams go back to back, Senior Netball a 3 Peat and the club take home 5 Premierships from the 5 in the grand Finals. 

Our Seniors were made to work for it at the business end of the season, not losing a game until the last home and away to Lorne and then losing again 2 weeks later to Birregurra. The 2 games were played in contrasting conditions with the home and away game arguably the hottest temperature all year then the final in near freezing and a wet and miserable ground.  The preliminary final was again played in wet conditions and our boys won through to their 4th consecutive Grand Final appearance. After a tight contest in the first half Dan Casey willed his men on and they kicked away to a 9 goal victory in the end to celebrate the clubs first Back to Back Premierships.

The Reserves went into the Grand Final underdogs as Birregurra hadn't been beaten all year. Kicking into the wind first quarter was always going to be a tough ask but the guys played their guts out and were in front at the first change. Keeping their running game going and their never say die attitude attributed to yet another premiership for the reserves team.

Season 2010 will see the Bombers keep their winning side in tact as they prepare for another crack at the cup and hopefully they can do it again.
