The name of the incorporated Club is WESBURN JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB INCORPORATED (in these rules, called “the Club”)

 

PLAYER REGISTRATION AND CLUB MEMBERSHIP

• The Secretary or delegated Registration Officer shall keep and maintain a Membership Roll comprising four classes of membership:
• Registered Player
• Member
• On being accepted, each member of the Club will receive and retain in perpetuity an identifying number, issued in sequence beginning with the most senior Life Member, then in order of receipt of registration fees as prescribed.
• The Membership Roll is a permanent record and an official Club document.
• The Membership Roll shall be available for inspection by Members at the address of the Club.
• Each Registered Player and Member shall provide the Secretary or delegated Registration Officer with full details of name and current residential address, and a telephone contact number, and provide timely advice of any change of address or telephone contact number.

 

REGISTERED PLAYERS

• A Registered Player is a Player registered with the DRJFL in a specified age group.
• A Registered Player shall be recorded on the Roll of Registered Players and receive a Membership Number.

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTERED PLAYERS

A Registered Player shall;

• Be a person of good character to the satisfaction of the Committee of the Club.
• Be registered by a natural parent or guardian
• Provide evidence of date of birth
• Pay the prescribed Player Registration Fees.
• Complete details of Registration with the DRJFL as a representative of the Club.
• Be available as required for training and scheduled matches throughout the season.

 

PRIVILEGES OF REGISTERED PLAYERS

• Registered Players may;
• Represent the Club in DRJFL matches
• Represent DRJFL in Interleague matches
• Participate in Club social and recreational activities
• Use Club facilities

  

MEMBERSHIP

• A natural person who is approved for Membership as provided in these rules is eligible to be a Member of the Club on payment of the fees and subscriptions payable under these rules.

 

MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTION AND PLAYER REGISTRATION FEES

• Membership Subscription and Player Registration Fees are determined by the Committee from time to time.

 

APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP

• A person who is not a Member of the Club at the time of the incorporation of the Club ( or who was such a Member at that time but has ceased to be a member) shall not be admitted to Membership unless admission as a Member is proved by the Committee.
• An application for Membership of the Club;

Shall be made in writing in the form set out in appendix 1, and shall be lodged with the Secretary of the Club or a delegated Registration Officer.

• Upon application accompanied by fees and subscriptions being accepted by the Secretary of the Club or a delegated Registration Officer, the applicant shall become a temporary Member until the next Committee Meeting when all current temporary Members are accepted or rejected.
• A temporary member shall have all Membership privileges except voting rights.
• In the event that Membership is rejected by the Committee, all fees paid shall be refunded.
• The Secretary or delegated Registration Officer shall, upon receipt of fees and subscriptions with the approval of the Committee, enter the applicant’s name in the register of the Members and, upon the name being so entered, the applicant becomes a member of the Club.
• A right, privilege, or obligation of a person by reason of Membership of the Club;
• Is not capable of being transferred or transmitted to another person terminates upon the cessation of Membership whether by death, resignation or otherwise.

 

PRIVILEGES OF MEMBERSHIP

A Member may;

• Gain free entry of the Registered Player’s family to all Club home games throughout the Season when accompanied by the Member
• Vote on matters of Club administration
• Nominate, stand and/or vote for Membership of the Committee of the Club
• Nominate, stand and/or vote for Club Team Official, including Team Coach, Team Manager, Team Trainer, Team Runner, Boundary Umpire, Time Keeper.
• Participate in Club recreational activities.
• Use Club facilities

 

 

LIFE MEMBERSHIP

• Life Membership is a Membership of the Club in perpetuity for the natural life of the Member.
• Any person who in the opinion of the Committee has over a long period of time rendered conspicuous service to the Club may be recommended for Life Membership.
• Life Membership may only be conferred by majority vote at an Annual General Meeting.
• Life Members have all rights and privileges of Members.
• Life Members are absolved of payment of Membership Subscriptions.
• Life Members shall pay Player Registration Fees when registering a Player.
• Not more than one Life Membership may be awarded per annum.

 

HONORARY MEMBERSHIP

• Honorary Membership is Membership of the Club in perpetuity or for such a period as the Committee may determine.
• Any person may be recommended for Honorary Membership.
• Honorary Membership may only be conferred by a majority vote by the Committee.
• Honorary Members have all rights and privileges except voting rights.
• Honorary Members are absolved of payment of Membership Subscription.
• Honorary Members shall pay Player Registration Fees when registering a Player.
