Round 6
Well it’s finally here our first home game, it seems like forever ago!!!!
A huge thank you to all involved in the upgrade of the oval, it is a massive improvement!
Casserole dinner tonight, Celebrity Head ($100 Cactus Black voucher to the winner) music, footy on TV, and a few grogs by the fire, Happy Hour 7pm-8pm (after all home games) “let’s stick together”.
Our thoughts go out to Bill Smith and his family after Bill’s terrible accident last week!
Thanks to Alan Corrie for painting the goal posts.
Last round
Netball:
The netball teams had three wins from five games with strong wins in D, Cres and B grade.
A & C grade had good games but are still working on improvements in key areas.
Saturday Football:
The Reserves fell 2 points short, continuing to attack on the wrong side of the ground.
Better players C Ramsay, J Van Reyk, J Petrac, M Whitelaw, M Harrison, W Walker
The Seniors decision making (attacking the wrong side, not using the first option, not talking, shepherding & a lack of discipline) let themselves and the Club down!!
Better players P Gould, L Dumaresq, M Davies, Mark Baylis, M Busch, B Wells
Sunday Football:
The Juniors played very well at home against Paynesville in trying conditions. At one stage the U13 match was called off due to the hail. The U15 ½’s and U13 ½’s both had good wins, great team effort by all! U11’s although the scoreboard didn’t show it, the skill and willpower they display gave Paynesville a good run for their money. Tomorrow they travel to Wy Yung in what should be some very competitive matches.
Congratulations to Dan Wyatt & Alyshia Murphy on winning the Nicks Cats bag!
