Pre-season training begins on Monday 16 November at the Snake Pit.

Lara has added former Williamstown and Spotswood forward, David Isbister, to its list for 2010. Isbister joins ex-Spotswood team mates David Sablitch (pictured left above), who signed recently, and Ben Harris at the Snake Pit. Isbister, 22, (left below) is one of eight Spotswood players to have played in three consecutive Premierships in the Western Region Football League. Sablitch, also 22, is a dual Premiership player with Spotswood and has twice been selected in the Western Region Football League Team of the Year.  The club expects the pair to add versatility and leadership to a promising young list. 

The tireless recruiting sub-committee is continuing to meet with a number of quality players over the coming weeks.

 


The 2009 Presentation Night went off without a hitch on Saturday 10 October. The venue looked a treat and proceedings ran smoothly thanks to the many volunteers who helped out before, during and after the event.  Chairman Brendan McAuliffe announced the extension of Ben Harris' contract to the end of 2011 and  acknowledged Andrew Barlow's contribution to the Club over a 23 year period. Brendan also thanked retiring player Adam Pyne and outgoing coaches, Mark Guthrie (Reserves) and Phil Gavin (U18).
